Selling points
Selling points are the most compelling features, benefits, or advantages of a product or service that persuade someone to buy. They highlight what makes an offer valuable, relevant, or different, ideally in a way that solves a specific customer problem or meets a need.
Strong selling points:
- Help sales reps tailor pitches to specific prospects
- Make marketing messages more persuasive
- Anchor value in the minds of potential buyers
- Shorten the sales cycle by answering the “Why should I care?” question
Types of selling points:
- Functional – What the product does (e.g., ‘’Automates outreach in 1 click’’)
- Emotional – How it makes the user feel (e.g., ‘’Gain peace of mind with secure data’’)
- Unique – What sets it apart from competitors (e.g., ‘’The only platform with built-in warm-up’’)
- Value-driven – The ROI or impact it delivers (e.g.,‘’Boost your reply rate by 40%’’)
