Reply rate is the percentage of recipients who respond to a message or campaign, most commonly used to measure the effectiveness of cold emails, LinkedIn outreach, or multichannel outbound efforts.
It's a performance indicator in outbound sales that helps assess how well a message resonates with the target audience, including the quality of targeting, copywriting, personalization, and value proposition.
Formula:
Reply rate = (Number of replies ÷ Number of messages sent) × 100
Example:
If you send 200 cold emails and receive 30 replies, your reply rate is 15%
