Just-in-time selling
Just-in-time selling (JIT selling) is a sales approach that focuses on delivering the right message, content, or solution at the exact moment a prospect needs it, not before, and not too late. It’s rooted in timing, relevance, and responsiveness, and helps salespeople align more closely with the buyer’s journey and intent signals.
JIT selling is adaptive and contextual, often triggered by buyer behavior (e.g., visiting a pricing page, opening a proposal, asking a technical question, etc.).
Key elements include:
- Responding to buying signals in real time
- Providing hyper-relevant content (case study, demo, quote) at the right moment
- Using CRM alerts, intent data, and automation to time outreach
- Reducing friction by avoiding premature or generic pitches
